Part 4 is a pretty simple part of TOEIC speaking.  Because it is not expected to use your imagination when answering questions.  All you have to do is know how to use prepositions and verbs correctly. 

Here is important to use prepositions in the right places.



Below are the most used patterns:

When we talk about deadlines, prepositions are not used. 


In case  asking  about  a fee

It will cost 20 £.

You do not have to pay an additional fee for it, it is included in the registration fee.

 You will get a  % 20 discount for groups of 4 or more people.

In case asking about  a lunch/dinner

You will enjoy breakfast

Vegetarian options are available. 




In case there is  a cancellation:

No. There were 2 applicants. But one has canceled. So now we have one applicant.

No. There was an interview with Taylor G. at 3 p.m. It has been canceled, now.



Speaking of announcements:

She will give two announcements. First, she will talk about the "Upcoming Sales Event". Secondly,  she will give an announcement on "New Hires".



when there is a delay:

There was a factory tour on the 1st day. It has been moved to the 2nd day. It has been rescheduled for the 2nd day.


In case  asking about books

The book will be released. It is written by ......... The book is titled "............."



When talking about someone's resume:

She graduated from the University of  X in 2014.

She got a bachelor's degree in computer science. 

She got an X  certificate in 2017.

from 2014 to 206, she worked at the University of X as an intern.

Since 2016, she has been working at X Corp. as a software engineer.




In case talking about theater/movie.


It will be played in Theater A.

It will be shown at  X Cinema.

You can watch a movie.

It is one and a half hours long.

The section is consist of 3 different questions.  When answering the first and second questions, these questions are answered first. Then,   a few sentences are said in the remaining time.  Saying only what questions want does not make you get full points in these sections.  Besides answering these questions, you need to say extra sentences related to topics of questions. Because each extra sentence makes you get more points.    For this, some simple but effective sentences such as " I like .... or it is useful/ meaningful/ expensive " are added to the main answer.  Unlike the first two questions, you are expected to give a detailed answer to question 3. However, a detailed answer does not mean to fit the information you want to give in a single sentence.  It is always better to give this detailed information with many short sentences rather than in a single long sentence. It is not necessary, but it is better to  start your sentences doing assumption.  For example, They look like a couple. They look like a band. They look like office workers/cooks/pedestrians He looks like a waiter She looks like a clerk. Firstly, you can start your speaking with "This is a picture taken in a ...............". We add the name of the place in this space. The important point is using the name with a correct preposition. Here are some common place names we often see in Part 2. For instance: ON on a road               on a mountain on a sidewalk When starting speaking, Article a/an  is used with place names we speak for the first time.  AT at an airport at a cafe at a restaurant  at an outdoor restaurant IN in an outdoor market in an office in a warehouse in a department store in a store in a lab/laboratory in a street in a gallery in a fitting room in a parking lot In the second sentence of our speaking, ...
